As Yerlika, we are proud to announce that we have achieved support for two significant biosimilar localization projects in the first term of TÜBİTAK’s 2024 Industrial R&D Projects Support Program. One of these projects focuses on monoclonal antibody development, while the other is dedicated to recombinant protein production. Both initiatives aim to achieve the production of biotechnological raw materials in Türkiye, starting at the cellular level, using local resources.
Innovative Projects Driving Domestic and National Progress
With biotechnological raw materials produced entirely locally from the cellular stage, we aim to reduce Türkiye’s dependency on foreign resources in biotechnology and contribute to our economy by exporting our products to international markets. Our monoclonal antibody and recombinant protein projects not only provide critical infrastructure for advanced therapies and biological drug production in our country but also offer local alternatives to essential raw materials in the pharmaceutical industry.
Through these projects, Yerlika continues to reinforce its leadership role in the sector while showcasing its innovative vision in science and technology.
Rare Double Support from TÜBİTAK
In 2024, a total of 87 applications were made to the TÜBİTAK Industrial R&D Projects Support Program, with only 42 projects deemed eligible for support. The fact that Yerlika has achieved support for two projects simultaneously underscores our leadership in the sector and our competencies in R&D.
